dissociating old posts

I was wondering if the ability to dissociate old posts could be added. I realize that this would be almost the equivalent to allowing anonymous, but I think it could be made to not be abused by requiring a certain amount of time to pass before allowing it or something. My reasoning is this: The forums are the first evidence of my identity on Google. There are things I have said that I no longer agree with. These were not troll posts, but a potential employer who might google my name would see things that don't accurately represent me. Also, it is my profile page that comes up, not individual posts. When one looks to see the posts I've made, quoted text looks like it was written by me. For instance I quoted that guy who said "2 weeks in n school already sux" or something like that. I also quoted someone saying something about finding a girl who's not a virgin or a prude. My mom actually googled me, and thought I said those things, and I had to explain by sending her links to the actual threads. I wouldn't have that opportunity with a potential employer, and these things could look very, very bad. I don't feel like this is just an instance of not wanting to take responsibility for things I have said. What do people think?

Yeah, that's pretty bad behavior on the part of the forum software. I know vBulletin doesn't show quoted text (at all) when you search for posts by a user, which would solve the problem. I'm sure there's a way to get Phorum to do something similar.

I think at the minimum the quotes should be distinguishable on the profile page.
