Connection timing out?

Hi,
I've been noticing that in these past few days, when I tried to access the forum, sometimes the connection would time out. However, when I try accessing via VPN directly afterwards, I would have no problems. I checked the domain via OpenDNS, which does show issues with the address resolving. What is going on? Just wanted to give you the heads up. http://www.opendns.com/cache/?d=forum.case.edu Wayne |

Back in March, Simon and I asked for about 30 static IPs to be turned into CNAMEs for filer.case.edu - including forum, start, etc... because we had run out of static IPs in Olin.
On friday ITS finally processed the request (six weeks later), without telling us about it, which meant I had to very quickly convert all the IP-based virtual hosts on filer to name based virtual hosts. Then for some reason on Sunday I noticed all of the CNAMEs had reverted back to static IP registrations. I emailed hostmaster to ask whats up, and I haven't heard back. There has been zero communication throughout the entire process. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit was 2007:05:07:10:11:57 by David Carlin. |
